Talents in Spotlight

Music for a Month of Festivities

December has always been the month when gatherings multiply, dance floors stay busy, and every celebration feels like it needs its own soundtrack. At the heart of it all are the bands who bring these moments to life, from sangeets that stretch late into the night to holiday parties that call for familiar tunes, and countdown nights that refuse to slow down.

This month's Talent Spotlight turns to the groups who keep December's rhythm alive, shaping the mood across corporate gatherings, wedding celebrations, and New Year's bashes alike.

Twin Strings
The Indie Quartet, where acoustic moods meet Synth, Funk, and Electronic Grooves
If indie music threw a house party, Twin Strings would be the ones steering the room. Their sound jumps from mellow acoustic to '80s synth, funk, and electronic grooves without missing a beat.
Their covers pulled in millions on YouTube, their originals - " Dhalti Rahe, " Tujhse Hoti Hai Subha, " Doorie, and " Mahi Mere Mahi" - kept listeners hooked, and their collabs with Nupur Sanon, Sukriti, and Prakriti Kakar pushed the momentum even further. With concerts, weddings, and global gigs filling their schedule, Twin Strings brings a rush that turns every show into a full-volume sing-along.
Tamasha Band
The crew that turns every stage into a dance riot
Three vocalists, two DJs, live percussionists, dhols, and even a violin cutting through the chaos, it's a lineup built for nights that refuse to slow down.
Led by Manish, who went from fashion grad to wedding planner to full-time frontman, the band is a burst of colour and controlled madness, flipping between genres with ease and dropping renditions that land perfectly with today's crowd. With shows across India and abroad, they've become a go-to name in the wedding world, known for pulling even the shyest guests onto the floor and keeping the pace high.
Best Kept Secret
The Bangalore pop act known for moving from rock and disco to blues and pop with ease
Best Kept Secret calls themselves Bangalore's only true pop outfit, and they live up to it with gigs that swing from rock to disco, from blues touches to full-blown pop hooks.
They've taken their sound from fashion weeks and major festivals across India to tours through Asia and Europe, and their Coldplay tribute continues to be a crowd favourite wherever they land. Sharing stages with acts like Indian Ocean and Poets of the Fall, the band has created a place for itself as one of the strongest English pop groups in the country today.
The CopyCats
Multi-genre band recreating the sound of legendary artists
The CopyCats have played well over a thousand shows, moving through pop, rock, blues, neo-soul, funk, and R&B with ease. Switching between English, Hindi, and Punjabi tracks, they've built a setlist wide enough to fit any room and any mood.
From being part of the 'MUSOC legacy' to packing venues like 'The Piano Man Jazz Club' and 'Hard Rock Cafe', the band has carried their sound across Delhi's live circuit and beyond. Their tribute shows, whether it's Bryan Adams, Michael Jackson, John Mayer, Maroon 5, Coldplay, Pink Floyd, or U2, are a huge draw and keep them firmly in the spotlight of the city's independent scene.

Day one featured Dr Shashi Tharoor - author, former diplomat, and Member of Parliament - who spoke on India's growth story through the lens of heritage, policy, global positioning, the value of reading, and what it means for the country to work toward its best version under the theme Virasat Sang Vikas.

Day two opened with Palki Sharma, senior journalist and Managing Editor at Firstpost, who discussed how global news shapes decisions, how India's heritage influences its image, and the role of credibility in today's fast-paced reporting environment.

Lt. Gen. KJS Dhillon (Retd.) followed with a session shaped by his years in military leadership. He spoke about lessons from 'Operation Sindoor' and connected battlefield principles to leadership, decision-making, and preparing teams for challenges ahead.

Zakir Khan

Google held an RCS (Rich Communication Services) meet at its Gurgaon office, where employees were greeted with a surprise guest - comedian and storyteller Zakir Khan.

Zakir came not for a comedy set, but for a conversation on 'Value over Volume'. He spoke about how every business, product, or career is essentially a story, and how marketing, selling, or even building something like RCS depends on storytelling. He stressed that advanced tech is only the medium, the message, and the story drive how people respond.

He also spoke about things he deals with on stage every day: reading a room, adjusting when a line doesn't land, and understanding the people in front of him. Zakir's inputs helped employees think about how communication can feel more meaningful for users.
