Sanjeeda Sheikh rose to fame with her leading role as ‘Nimmo’ in the 2005 TV series ‘Kyaa Hoga Nimmo Kaa’. One of her breakthrough roles that showcased her versatility as an actress came in 2014 with the TV show ‘Ek Hasina Thi’. The show went on to become one of the most critically acclaimed TV soap operas of its time. Her performance was so impactful that it landed her the ‘Indian Television Academy Award’ (2014) in the category ‘Gr8! Performer Of The Year (Female)’.
Sanjeeda widened her performance graph as an actress as she did a compelling portrayal of a negative character in the TV show ‘Kayamath’ (2007) that not only left a lasting impact but also earned her the prestigious ‘Zee Gold Award’ (2008)for ‘Best Actress in a Negative Role’. Beyond the television industry, Sanjeeda made her mark on the silver screen in Tamil and Punjabi cinema. She won the ‘Best Debut Actress Award’ (2019) at the ‘PTC Punjabi Film Awards’ for her first Punjabi Film, ‘Ashke’. Sanjeeda also ventured into digital space and appeared in a web series titled ‘Gehraiyaan’ (2017).
Not only is Sheikh a talented actress, but also a captivating dance artist who has showcased her skills by participating and winning in dance reality shows like - ‘Nach Baliye 3’ (2007) & ‘Zara Nachke Dikha 2’ (2010).
