Jay Bhanushali’s claim to fame is his lead role in the TV soap opera ‘Kayamath’ on Star Plus. He received many awards like the ‘Indian Telly Award’ for ‘Fresh New Face’ and ‘Best Actor’ in the Supporting Role for his performance. Jay made his Bollywood debut in 2014 with ‘Hate Story 2’, followed by ‘Desi Kattey’ in 2014 and ‘Ek Paheli Leela’ in 2015. In 2009, he hosted the TV reality show ‘Dance India Dance’ and garnered immense praise for his anchoring skills and comic timing. He won the ’Boroplus Gold Award for Best Anchor’ in 2010 and 2012 and the Zee Rishtey Award for ‘Favourite Host’ in 2009 and 2011.
Besides acting, and hosting, Jay surprised his fans with his amazing dancing skills by participating in the 2009 TV dance reality show ‘Jhalak Dikhla Ja’ and in 2013, he and his wife participated in and won the dance competition show ’Nach Baliye’. In 2020, he participated in ‘Khatron Ke Khiladi’ and claimed the 6th position. He made his Bollywood debut with the romantic Thriller ‘Hate Story 2’ in 2014. In 2019, he was a contestant in ‘Kitchen Champion 5’ and later even hosted the show ‘Superstar Singer’.
