Genelia D’Souza is one of the well-known actors who has ruled the South Indian film industry for a long time and went on to make her mark in Bollywood with her debut film ‘Tujhe Meri Kasam’ in 2003 alongside Riteish Deshmukh. Her biggest blockbuster hit was the rom-com movie ‘Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na’ that shot Genelia to fame.
Her other notable films include ‘Satyam’,‘Sye’, ‘Happy’, ‘Dhee’, ‘Ready’, and Bollywood movies like ‘Masti’ and ‘Force’.
She received her first ‘Filmfare Award’ in 2006 for her performance in the Telugu romantic comedy film ‘Bommarillu’, which earned her critical acclaim.
She also holds a Limca world record of delivering four different super hit films in four different languages ‘Ready’, ‘Satya in Love’, ‘Santosh Subramaniam’ and ‘Jaane Tu... Ya Jaane Na’ in a span of one calendar year.
She was crowned as the ‘Brand Ambassador of the Year’ at the ‘CNBC Awaaz Consumer Awards’ for endorsing nine brands.
She has been the brand ambassador of the soft drink Fanta, Perk, Virgin Mobile India, Fastrack watches, LG mobiles, Dabur Vatika hair oil, Spinz deodorant and many other brands.
She is also the founder of Imagine meats, a plant based meat alternative initiative by her and Ritesh Deshmukh.
