Ameesha Patel rose to fame with her acting debut in ‘Kaho Naa... Pyaar Hai’ in 2000 which was a major commercial success and earned her the ‘Zee Cine Award’ for ‘Best Female Debut.’
Besides her acting skills, she is also a stunning dancer. She has performed in several concerts and world tours during her career. Her first world tour; ‘The Roshans: Hrithik Live in Concert’, along with Hrithik Roshan, was performed all across India. In 2004, she took part in a series of concerts on the world tour ‘Craze 2004’ alongside Hrithik Roshan, Saif Ali Khan, and Lara Dutta. In 2005, Ameesha participated in Adnan Sami’s world tour ‘Kuch Dil Se’, which was performed across the US and Canada.
Later, the game changer for her was the mega-blockbuster ‘Gadar: Ek Prem Katha’ which won her the ‘Filmfare Special Performance Award’.
She has also been applauded for her supporting roles in ‘Honeymoon Travels Pvt. Ltd.’, ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa’ and ‘Race 2’. She recently made a career comeback by reprising her role in the sequel ‘Gadar 2’.
She has been often featured on the list as one of Bollywood's sexiest actresses and was also ranked tenth on Rediff's list of ‘2008's Sexiest Actresses’.
