About
Bir Khalsa is a group of Sikh martial artists renowned for their daring and jaw-dropping performances. Founded by Kawaljit Singh in 2000, the group consists of over 500 members, with 20 top performers who have mastered the art of ‘Gatka’, a traditional Sikh martial art. Kawaljit Singh, driven by a passion for ‘Gatka’ since the age of five, overcame significant financial hardships, even performing on roadsides for food, to establish Bir Khalsa.
Their big break came in 2009 when they debuted on ‘India's Got Talent’, where their incredible stunts took them to the finals, ultimately becoming the first runners-up. Their fame skyrocketed, and they have since participated in various international Got Talent shows, including ‘America's Got Talent’ and ‘Britain's Got Talent’. On ‘America's Got Talent’ Season 14, they reached the quarterfinals, receiving standing ovations for their death-defying acts involving chainsaws, sledgehammers, and blindfolded stunts. They returned for ‘America's Got Talent: All-Stars’, where their performance again captivated audiences and judges alike.
Bir Khalsa's performances are not just about thrills; they are dedicated to spreading important messages to the youth about drug abuse and more.
They have graced numerous prominent platforms such as Sony TV, Zee TV, Colors TV, StarPlus, ETV Telugu, BBC, the Discovery Channel, National Geographic, and the Fuji Rock Festival in Japan. Bir Khalsa Group’s death-defying stunts and mastery of Sikh martial arts captivate and inspire audiences, leaving them in awe.
