Babita Kumari Phogat, the second eldest of the renowned Phogat sisters, has carved a remarkable niche for herself in the world of wrestling clinching a silver medal in the Commonwealth Games 2010 and went on to secure a bronze at the World Wrestling Championships two years later. Babita's career highlights include a triumphant gold medal victory at the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, where she overcame a significant knee injury to defeat her opponents, including a decisive victory against Canada’s Brittanee Laverdure.
Babita's career began with a gold medal in the women's freestyle 51 kg category at the 2009 Commonwealth Wrestling Championship in Punjab.
