About
Drumming Showstoppers is a percussion group, who are renowned for their innovative use of percussive instruments, all uniquely developed and crafted in Singapore. Among their many signature acts, their self-improvised Water Led Drums show is a must-see spectacle that leaves audiences in awe.
In 2016, the group took innovation to new heights by creating the world’s first and only fully playable Laser Drum Sticks. Other notable gadgets that enhance their performances include Fire head sticks, Mobile Sensor Led Drums, and hybrid drums made from recycled materials.
The group officially came together in July 2005, though their roots trace back to 2002 when founder Mr. Tan Boon led 20 young men and women in Singapore’s renowned Chingay street parade. Since then, the quality and energy of their performances have consistently reached new heights.
Many corporate giants such as MediaCorp, Microsoft, Apple, HP, Samsung, DBS, WTA, Maserati, Porsche, and F1 Singapore, among others, regularly seek out Drumming Showstoppers for their impactful performances.
Drumming Showstoppers’ talent and energy have also garnered international recognition. In 2010, they performed at South Korea’s Sacheon International Percussion Festival, dazzling a crowd of 18,000 and standing tall among performers from countries like France, Japan, Croatia, and the USA.
Their global reach extended further when their performance was broadcast to 100 million viewers on CCTV during the 20th Anniversary China Singapore Concert 2010.
Drumming Showstoppers continued to impress on a global stage, performing 78 shows at the Venetian Macao’s Macau Dine & Wine Festival and Venetian Carnevale in 2014, thrilling over 100,000 visitors and guests.
Driven by passion, Drumming Showstoppers constantly challenge themselves to redefine and shape a truly unique Singaporean style of drumming, setting themselves apart from traditional ethnic or popular drumming cultures.
