THOUSAND HANDS OF BUDDHA

About
The Thousand Hands of Buddha is a mesmerizing performance, where the dancers align in a perfectly synchronized formation, creating the illusion that the lead dancer possesses a thousand hands. The dance is rooted in the legend of Bodhisattva Guan Yin, a figure revered in Buddhism and other Eastern religions for her boundless compassion. Originating from China, this dance is a profound artistic representation of the bodhisattva’s thousand hands, symbolizing her all-encompassing mercy and vow to alleviate the suffering of the world.
The troupe’s choreography is inspired by the original choreography, created by a visionary Chinese choreographer. Their performance beautifully embodies the spirit of Guan Yin, often referred to as the 'Goddess of Mercy” or the 'Mercy Goddess’.
The Thousand Hands of Buddha has captivated audiences across Thailand, where it has been performed over 1,000 times in the past four to five years. This powerful show has been witnessed by over half a million people in Thailand alone, leaving an indelible impression on all who experience it.
The Thousand Hands of Buddha is a perfect choice as an opening act for corporate events or gala dinners, where its grandeur and elegance set the tone for the evening. It also serves as an impressive filler act during award shows or as a unique and memorable way to welcome guests at wedding celebrations.
Whether performed on a grand stage or at an intimate gathering, this show leaves a lasting impression, making it a great choice for any event seeking to combine artistic beauty with profound cultural significance.
