Aabha Hanjura

Aabha Hanjura is an award winning singer, live performer, composer & songwriter who seeks her inspiration from the deeply embedded Sufi influence in the valley of Kashmir.

She is the founder of a Sufi, folk rock ensemble, 'Sufistication'. The band experiments with various contemporary elements & instruments & blends those in the traditional elements of ancient Sufi Folk.

Late Dr. Abdul Kalam Azaad unveiled her debut single 'Kithe Nain' after which her single ‘Kashmiri Folk Medley’ went on to be an online rage garnering over 2.5 million views.

She is the first Kashmiri artist to do a soulful rendition on our National Anthem at the ‘Premier Pro Kabaddi League’, that was globally broadcasted live on Star Sports.

She has bagged many awards & appreciations at various prestigious forums like ‘Radio City Freedom Awards’, ‘Song Dew Free - The Music Awards’, ‘Desh Snehi Award’ from the ‘India Development Foundation’, to name a few. 

She has even won the ‘Times Power Woman for Excellence in Music’ in 2019.

She is a vivacious, powerhouse live performer and singer who aims to bridge the gap between traditional and modern-day music. She is a pioneer in reviving long lost instruments and is a dynamic lead singer.
