Popularly known as India's No.1 Bollywood Mentalist, Akshay Laxman has enthralled audiences on the T.V. shows India’s Got Talent on Colors TV & Entertainment Ke Liye Kuch Bhi Karega on Sony, where he was declared winner & ‘MasterChef India Season 3’, 2013, becoming the most prominent magician in India.
His performance during the audition in ‘India’s Got Talent’ was well received by the audience & Karan Johar, Malaika Arora & Kiran Kher, praised him with a standing ovation. Karan Johar later recommended him to Aamir Khan who asked Akshay to perform for him & his family, at a private gathering. Impressed by his act, Aamir Khan made him a testimonial video which changed Akshay’s life.
Since the age of 21, Akshay has been able to find the perfect connection between Psychology as a subject & its role in playing magic tricks. It is this combined use of psychology for mind-reading & playing magic tricks that sets him apart from several magicians. Akshay took his act to his first international appearance in 2011 at an event by ‘Carnival Cruise Lines’, the largest Florida-based cruise line that operates cruise ships.
Akshay chose to graduate in psychology post his schooling so he could mix the psychology of the human mind and magic into one that could be presented to the world. Akshay has appeared on TV channels like CNBC, Star Plus, Zee TV, Aaj Tak, UTV Bindass & Pogo TV.
A Bollywood favorite, Akshay's talent has been appreciated by celebrities like Aamir Khan, Karan Johar, and Rajkumar Hirani who have spoken highly about him on several platforms.
