Astitva is a multi-genre band based in New Delhi, which started in 2007.

Their ragas are a blend of rock and jazz with an indication of Urdu Poetry and encompasses hybrid styles of exquisite melodies and everlasting pop / rock instrumentation.

They released their first album in 2013 named ‘Patang Dor’ which had songs like ‘Astitva’, ‘Bawari’, ‘Paas Aao Naa’, ‘Raat Ki Daasta’ & many more, which became famous among music enthusiasts.

Their singles like ‘Tu Hi Bata’, ‘Saari Raen Jaagi’, ‘Mere Naina’, ‘Din Dhal Jaaye’ also received a lot of appreciation.

They composed an official ‘Delhi Anthem’, which was acclaimed by Chief Minister Smt. Sheila Dixit and were also the semi final challengers at the show ‘Entertainment ke liye kuch bhi karega’, featured on Sony entertainment television.

They also composed an anthem for saving the girl child called ‘Jeenay Do’.

The compositions of Astitva are created in a way that a common man can relate to. Every song is different from the other with each song bringing out a different emotion. Most of their songs have an entire story wrapped in them making them beautiful story tellers and a joy to listen to.
