Abhijeet Sawant, a playback singer, was the very first winner of the first season of the popular TV singing reality show ‘Indian Idol’ in 2005. He also won the third position in ‘Asian Idol’, 2007.
In 2005, he made his Bollywood debut with ‘Marjawaan Mitjawaan’ for the film ‘Aashiq Banaya Aapne’ and also released his first solo album ‘Aapka Abhijeet Sawant’.
He made his acting debut in the movie ’Lottery’ in 2009 & was also seen in ‘Tees Maar Khan’, for which he also lent his voice for the song ‘Pungi’. Other songs by him include ‘Ishqa’ from ‘Dishoom’, ‘Beating Beating’ from ‘Ishq Wala Love' and ‘Yaad Teri Yaad’ from ‘Jawani Diwani - A Youthful Joyride'.
Abhijeet participated in the dance reality show ‘Nach Baliye’ 2009 & co-hosted ‘Indian Idol’ in 2010.
He is one of India’s most talented and versatile performers. His stage presence and ability to bring the crowd to their feet has made him immensely popular.
