Akriti Kakar, a Bollywood playback singer, is the voice behind many popular tracks like the party song ‘Saturday Saturday’ from ‘Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania’, ‘Iski Uski’ from ‘2 States’, ‘Marjaani’ from ‘Billu Barber’, ‘Abhi Abhi’ from ‘Jism 2’ and many more.

Her debut song in Bollywood was ‘Chhamm Se’ from Dus for Vishal and Shekhar and is known to cover a diaspora of genres from Bollywood to Sufi, ghazals to retro and unplugged to EDM.

She also released her solo non Bollywood album, ‘Akriti’ in 2010 with music composed by Shankar Mahadevan & herself. Her album won ‘The Best Non Film Popular Album’ award at the prestigious awards function, GiMA.

Akriti has also sung for Marathi films & many other Indian regional languages. She was a judge on Zee Bangla’s ‘Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Lil’ Champs’ 2013.
