Ami Shroff has been a prominent figure in the world of flair bartending and mixology since 2003. Her career is marked by a series of remarkable achievements and accolades. In 2018, she was honored as the Mixologist of the Year by the Times Food and Nightlife Awards in Mumbai. The following year, she received the same accolade from the INCA Awards. Despite pursuing a law degree, Ami realized that her true calling lay in flair bartending and mixology. By the second year of her law studies, she made the bold decision to drop out and fully commit to her passion.
Being one of the first Indian women in the profession, Ami faced numerous challenges, including societal perceptions and industry norms. Despite these obstacles, she has become a trailblazer in flair bartending, showcasing that flair encompasses much more than just juggling. It includes various techniques and performances that elevate the art of bartending.
Born with an innate passion for juggling and object manipulation, Ami’s fascination with the art of flair bartending began with a spark ignited by the Tom Cruise-starring movie 'Cocktail.' The dynamic flair of bartending shown in the film captivated her, setting the stage for her future career.
Her impressive performance portfolio includes over 30 destinations and thousands of events. She has been recognized with a Women’s Achievement Award by Zindagi Live-IBN7 and Audi Motors and has appeared in commercials for brands like Flying Machine, Roohafza syrup, and Rio Fusion drink.
In addition to her competitive success, Ami has held significant roles in the industry. She served as the Head of Bar and curated the London Taxi cocktail menu from 2017 to 2019. As a flair trainer for the Institute of Hotel Management (IHM) for two years, she helped shape the next generation of bartenders.
Ami has also co-hosted a cocktail show with cricket star Chris Gayle for Smirnoff and hosted cocktail videos for various liquor brands. Her media presence includes features on BBC Hindi, IBN7, Times Now, Zee Khana Khazana, and numerous online platforms, magazines, and newspapers.
Ami has been a part of major art and beverage festivals such as Bangalore Cocktail Week, Fluid Bangalore, InJuCo Goa, Blackout Mumbai, KYATA Manali, Malanad Calling Chikmagalur, Aahar Food Expo Delhi, Lil Flea Mumbai, The Secret Garden Pune, and Indian Surfing Festival Orissa.

Her accolades extend to competitive achievements as well, including winning MTV’s ‘Captain Shack’ in 2010, and the ‘Cointreau La Maison National Mixology Competition’ in India in 2014.
Representing India on a global stage, she competed in the ‘Rhuby International Mixology Competition’ in Sweden in 2016, and consistently placed in the top three in various competitions, including those hosted by IBOM/Bacardi/Skyy.
