Amruta Khanvilkar's passion for dance is no secret. The actress even won the ‘Nach Baliye 7’. Despite not being a trained dancer, Amruta has taken to the stage and stunned the audience with her graceful moves, and stunning expressions time and again. Amruta is best remembered for her Lavani dance performance in the song ‘Wajale Ki Bara’ from the movie ‘Natarang’, which won her praise and nominations at the ‘Maharashtra State Film Awards’ and ‘Filmfare Awards-Marathi’.
She made her Bollywood debut in 2007 with ‘Mumbai Salsa’ but gained the spotlight with her performance in the music video ‘Aye Hip Hopper’.
She has also appeared in supporting roles in the high-profile Hindi films ‘Raazi’ ‘Satyameva Jayate’ and ‘Malang’. Her role in the romantic drama ‘Chandramukhi’ was critically acclaimed and commercially successful.
She has anchored ‘Dance Maharashtra Dance-1’, ‘Dance India Dance-6’, and ‘Famously Filmfare Marathi’.
She has also co-starred alongside Amitabh Bhattacharjee in the Hindi short film ‘Saanjh’, which won the ‘National Film Award’ for ‘Best Film on Family Welfare’.
She is also playing the lead in Disney+Hotstar's web series by Hansal Mehta titled ‘Lootere’ opposite Rajat Kapoor.
