A multi-talented entertainer, Anuj Gurwara dons many hats including that of a singer, actor, radio jockey, anchor, voice artist and TV show host.
Popularly known as the ‘Master of Ceremonies’, and armed with an experience of over 1000+ events, Anuj notably brings an edge of sophistication and humour to the stage.
He has even hosted events for top CEOs and Heads of States. In fact, he has been hosting the Times Food and Nightlife Awards in 10 cities across India since 2010.
As a singer he rose to fame with his very first track 'Panchadara Bomma', for the 2009 Telugu film ‘Magadheera’. The song was declared as the ‘Top Telugu Song of the year’ by Radio Mirchi South, Radio City and Big FM.
The song also won him his first ‘Filmfare Award for Best Male Playback Singer’. Apart from Filmfare, he also won ‘CineMAA’, ‘South Scope’ and ‘Alapana Music award’ in the same category.
He was listed in ‘Top 50 Achievers of South India’ by Avant Garde Magazine Hyderabad in 2010, and was awarded ‘No.1 RJ across all India for the channel Radio City’ for the year 2006-07.
His other popular songs include ‘Yem Sakkagunavro’ from ‘Jhummandi Naadam’, ‘Thoda Has ke’ from ‘Makkhi’, ‘Cheeky Cheeky Baby’ from ‘SMS’ (Shiva Manasulo Shruti) and ‘Ninnu Chudani’ from ‘Anaganaga O Dheerudu’.
Fluent in Hindi and English, and with an experience of over 15 years, Anuj has achieved considerable recognition both as a singer and as an anchor.
