Asees Kaur

Asees Kaur, a renowned Playback Singer has participated in reality shows like ‘Indian Idol 6’ and ‘Awaz Punjab Di’. 

She recently sang ‘Panghat’ for the Janhvi Kapoor-starrer ‘Roohi’ in  2021 and was always spiritually inclined towards music. Her musical journey began with singing shabads in Gurudwaras at the young age of five.

She made her first Bollywood debut with ‘Dildara Reprise’ from ‘Tamanchey’. In 2017, she received the Mirchi Music award for Critics' Choice Upcoming Female Vocalist of The Year for the song ‘Bolna’ from ‘Kapoor & Sons’ & was nominated for the ‘Best Female Playback Singer’ at the Zee Cine Awards for the song ‘Akh Lad Jaave’ from Loveyatri in 2019.

She has worked with a number of music composers on songs like ‘Ve Maahi’ from ‘Kesari’, ‘Makhna’ from Drive, ‘Bandeya Re Bandeya’ & ‘Tere Bin’ from ‘Simmba’, ‘Akh Lad Jave’ & ‘Chogada’ from Loveyatri, ‘Bolna’ from ‘Kapoor & sons’, and many more.

The versatile singer has also sung a number of singles like ‘Gal Karke’, ‘Tujhe Kaise Pata Na Chala’, ‘Choodiyan’, ‘Kisi Aur Naal’, ‘Mujhe Jeene De’, & ‘Intezaar’. 

She has worked with the likes of Arijit Singh, Harrdy Sandhu, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, Atif Aslam, & more.

Asees has worked with many Indian composers in several languages like Punjabi, Hindi, and English and has performed at the Dubai Expo too. 

She was also featured at Times Square in New York City for their song ‘52 Gaj Ka Daman’. She also makes independent music and performs live shows across the globe. 

Asees has successfully carved a niche for herself as a playback singer with her melodious voice and versatile songs. Her journey from a dreamer to a successful playback singer is an inspiration for many.
