B. S. Nagesh
About
- S. Nagesh is the Founder of Trust for Retailers & Retail Associates of India (TRRAIN), a public charitable trust with the vision to empower people in retail.
Mr. Nagesh began his career in 1982 with Blow Plast Ltd., the manufacturers of Leo toys and VIP baggage.
In order to establish the Group's retail division, he joined the K. Raheja Group as General Manager in 1991.
Later, from 1997 until 2009, he served as the managing director and chief executive officer of Shoppers Stop. He presently serves as Shoppers Stop's vice chairman and non-executive director.
Nagesh was selected as one of the top 50 managers in India in a survey of Managers who can influence Indian business in the 21st Century.

- ‘Most admired Apparel Retail Professional of the Year’ at the inaugural Images Fashion Awards 2000.

- Inducted into the Retail Hall of Fame at the World Retail Congress in 2008.
