Dilip Joshi, the actor who brought the iconic character ‘Jethalal Champaklal Gada’ to life in the immensely popular TV serial ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah,’ has become a beloved figure in Indian television. Known for his impeccable comic timing and stellar acting, Dilip's portrayal of ‘Jethalal’ has made him one of the most adored characters on one of India's longest-running TV shows. His outstanding performance has earned him numerous accolades, including five Telly Awards and three ITA Awards.

However, Dilip’s acting career commenced in 1989 with his role as ‘Ramu’ in the popular film 'Maine Pyar Kiya.' Over the years, he portrayed his versatility by appearing in several Gujarati dramas, notably 'Bapu Tame Kamaal Kari' alongside Sumeet Raghavan and Amit Mistry. This trio also gained fame for their work in the television show 'Shubh Mangal Savadhan.' 

Dilip did quite a few TV serials such as  'Yeh Duniya Hai Rangeen,' 'Kya Baat Hai,' where he played a South Indian character, 'Kabhi Yeh Kabhi Woh,' 'Hum Sab Baarati,' 'Hum Sab Ek Hain,' 'Daal Mein Kala,' and 'Meri Biwi Wonderful.' He also delighted young audiences as ‘Uncle Tappu’ in the children's comedy 'Agadam Bagdam Tigdam.'

In addition to his successful television career, Dilip Joshi has made notable appearances in Bollywood films. His filmography includes roles in 'Phir Bhi Dil Hai Hindustani,' 'Dhoondte Reh Jaaoge,' and Ashutosh Gowariker's 'What's Your Raashee.'
