A woman of substance known to break gender bias, especially in the fields of STEM and entrepreneurship, Dr. Sarita Ahlawat is known for her groundbreaking work in developing smart diagnostic tools and pollution monitoring devices.
In stark contrast to her academic research background in microbiology, Dr. Sarita, a scientist by profession &PhD holder from the US, ended up in a completely different field of drone technology, having co-founded BotLab Dynamics, a pioneer drone startup in India.
Dr. Sarita proved that with passion and perseverance, nothing is impossible, as she tackled the role of Co-Founder and Managing Director of this leading drone startup.

Dr. Sarita’s entrepreneurial journey dates back to 2019, when she became the founding director of Phase Laboratories Pvt. Ltd. and co-founder of Aerogram Pvt. Ltd, a start-up dedicated to building personal and network air pollution monitoring devices.
Moreover, as the head of Living Science Group, a science communication platform she co-founded in collaboration with research scholars at IIT Delhi and ICGEB, New Delhi in 2014, Dr. Sarita has been instrumental in bridging the gap between scientific research and public understanding.
