Nitin Mishra, better known as Spitfire, got his breakthrough with the movie, ‘Gully Boy’, where his lyrics, including the hard-hitting anthem ‘Asli Hip Hop’, set the tone for the film’s raw, street-inspired narrative. He penned most of protagonist ‘Murad’s’ played by Ranveer Singh, rap battles, introducing Bollywood audiences to the depth of real hip-hop. His debut EP, ‘Paathshala’, further displayed his lyrical dexterity and vision, strengthening his place as an artist who blends poetry with rhythm effortlessly.
Hailing from Madhya Pradesh, Spitfire discovered rap at 15 and soon found his voice in Hindi and Urdu poetry, crafting intricate rhymes that resonated deeply with listeners. Inspired by rapper-poets like Bohemia, Spitfire honed his craft and became a defining voice in India’s underground hip-hop movement.

Despite initial resistance from his family, Spitfire remained dedicated to his craft, using rap as a means of self-expression and social commentary. Fondly known as Little Ghalib, his words cut through trends, carrying a timeless quality that speaks to struggle, identity, and freedom.
