Hailing from London, Illusionist Richard's journey to success is as captivating as his performances. Growing up in Chigwell, Essex, he developed a passion for magic alongside his military ambitions. In 2010, he answered the call to serve his country, joining the British Army and embarking on a remarkable career that would intertwine with his magical pursuits.
After a year of study at the Royal Military School of Music in Twickenham, Illusionist Richard spent three years with the esteemed band of the Parachute Regiment. His dedication and talent saw him posted to the band of the Household Cavalry in 2014, where he served as a mounted dutyman, showcasing his versatility both on and off the stage.
Beyond his military duties, Illusionist Richard's magical talents shone brightly on various platforms. From entertaining audiences on ITV's ‘The Chase’ to performing as a bandsman in the prestigious ‘Trooping the Colour’ ceremony for Queen Elizabeth II's 90th birthday celebrations, his skills as a magician have earned him widespread recognition and admiration.
In a highlight of his career, Illusionist Richard mesmerized audiences at the ‘Royal Variety Performance’ at the Hammersmith Apollo, gracing the stage in the presence of senior members of the British Royal Family. He showcased his magical skills with his one-off show, ‘Operation Magic’, on ITV in April 2017.
Taking his magic on the road, Illusionist Richard embarked on the ‘Power of Imagination’ tour across the UK, enchanting audiences from Windsor to the Isle of Wight with his spellbinding performances, and continues to shine despite the stiff competition.
