From the sizzling moves of ‘Khallas’ to the romantic allure of ‘Ishq Samundar,’ Isha Koppikar has given Bollywood some of its most iconic dance numbers. Apart from being an actor, she dons many hats. She is a model, politician and entrepreneur as well. She was introduced to the film industry through her modelling career, and made her debut in the Telugu film ‘W/o V. Vara Prasad’.
In 1995, she participated in the Miss India pageant and took home the Miss Talent crown. She made her debut with the Tamil industry with ‘Kadhal Kavidhai’ for which she won the ‘Filmfare Best Female Debut Award’.
She began her Bollywood career with a small role in ‘Fiza’ in 2000 and an item number appearance in Prakash Jha's ‘Rahul’. In 2002, she appeared in an item number in the underworld movie ‘Company’ which earned her the title of ‘Khallas Girl’.
In 2001 she made her full-fledged Bollywood debut with Rajiv Rai's ‘Pyaar Ishq Aur Mohabbat’. Her next release was urban comedy ‘Aamdani Atthani Kharcha Rupaiyaa’ opposite Govinda.
Over the years, Isha Koppikar has been a part of quite a few successful films like ‘Qayamat’, ‘Girlfriend’, ‘Kya Kool Hain Hum’, ‘Pinjar’ and many more. But the most successful of them remains the 2006 remake of the Amitabh Bachchan starrer 1978 blockbuster ‘Don’.
She is also the owner of ‘The Central Kitchen’, a multi cuisine home delivery restaurant and plans to expand her business horizon and contribute to the development of India.
She is also the brand ambassador for Italian Fashion Label Police Time and Jewellery in India.
