About
Known for critically acclaimed performances in films such as ‘Neerja’ and ‘Padmaavat’, Jim Sarbh is a well-known actor and theater director.
Armed with theater experience from New York, he got his first big break with ‘Neerja’ in 2016 for which he ended up receiving four awards.
Jim rose to prominence in 2018 for playing the antagonist in the period drama ‘Padmaavat’ and the biopic ‘Sanju’, both of which rank among the highest-grossing Indian films of all time.
His notable work includes Alyque Padamsee’s ‘Death of a Salesman’ and Rajat Kapoor’s ‘What's Done is Done’, ‘Raabta’, ‘House Arrest’, and ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’ among others.
Jim has worked in some great web series including ‘Smoke’, ‘Made in Heaven’, and ‘Rocket Boys’ to name a few, and has also starred in short movies like ‘Mama’s Boy’ and ‘Like Summer Like Rain’.
He starred in a short movie ‘Sometimes, I Think About Dying’, which was shortlisted for the 92nd Academy Awards popularly known as Oscars in 2020.
In 2022, he played ‘Dr. Homi Bhabha’ in the series ‘Rocket Boys’.

Jim won the ‘Best Male Debutant’ at Screen Awards & Zee Cine Awards and ‘Best Actor in a Negative Role’ at IIFA, Zee Cine Awards, and Stardust Awards for the movie Neerja.
He won the ‘Best Actor in a Negative Role’ at the Asiavision Awards for the movie Padmaavat.
Jim was listed in Forbes India’s ‘30 under 30’ list in 2015 for his contribution to the Mumbai theater industry.
His movie ‘Sometimes, I Think About Dying’ won an award in the ‘Short Narrative’ category at Dumbo Film Festival, ‘Best Drama’ at Aspen Shortfest and ‘Best Short Screenwriting’ at Rhode Island International Film Festival.
