Madras Mail is not just your average experimental fusion rock band from Kerala; they are a musical phenomenon that has captured the hearts of thousands with their energetic performances and soul-stirring melodies. Their journey to fame began when they clinched victory at a prestigious band competition, ‘Rangreza’ 2015, organized by KM Music Conservatory. The prize—a sponsorship for a music video produced by none other than AR Rahman—catapulted them into the spotlight, setting the stage for their meteoric rise to fame. 

Formed in 2015, this Alappuzha-based band defies conventional norms by crafting their entire repertoire in Tamil, a language unfamiliar to most of their audience. Led by the dynamic Sachin Yesudas on vocals, Madras Mail comprises a talented ensemble including Durwin D’Souza on lead guitar, Michael Timothy on bass guitar, Akhil Babu on drums, and Tom Verghese on keys and synth.

Inspired by the bond between Kerala and Tamil Nadu symbolized by the iconic Madras Mail express train, the band adopted the name as proof of their shared camaraderie and cross-cultural influences.
