The Makka Band stands out as a powerhouse ensemble in South India, distinguished by its unique concept of featuring famous playback singers as instrumentalists. Rahul Nambiar, Aalaap Raju, and Ranjith Govind, three friends, who are also celebrated figures in the South Indian music scene, embarked on a musical journey and formed this band.

Rahul Nambiar, a seasoned performer with over 400 live shows under his belt, brings his rich experience and soulful voice to the Makka Band trio. His notable film credits include hit songs like ‘Vasantha Mullai’ from ‘Pokkiri’ and ‘Adada Mazhada’ from ‘Paiyaa’, earning him critical acclaim and a Filmfare nomination for Best Male Playback Singer.

Ranjith Govind, introduced to playback singing by Mani Sharma, quickly rose to prominence with hits like ‘Suppose’ from ‘Sukran’.
