About
Milind Date is considered one of the finest flautists, critically acclaimed for his immaculate bansuri playing and versatile music composing.
Milind is one of the senior-most disciples of world-famous bansuri maestro Pandit Hariprasad Chaurasia.
Although Milind’s main study is in Indian classical and folk Music, he also has studied devotional music, jazz, blues, rock, and fusion-world music.
Milind started his own band Fusion Ensemble and as an accomplished and versatile composer, he has experimented with several music and dance forms.
He has performed with Hridaynath Mangeshkar, Asha Bhosle, Usha Mangeshkar, Yashwant Deo, Suresh Wadkar, Ghulam Ali, Trilok Gurtu and other outstanding musicians as well.
Milind has more than 3000 performances to his credit and he has extensively performed in South Korea, with many award winning albums released there.
He has also composed music tracks and recorded for films and documentaries along with launching several albums with his band.
Milind produced and composed an album called The Earth Concerto with musicians from Iran, Iraq, Korea, Israel, Morocco, and India and co-produced the mainstream American pop music album Fantasy for the New York-based singer, Angeli.
He further created a meditation album, Prayer from the Heart, in collaboration with Tanmayo, a Scottish singer & violinist, and Shubhangi, an Indian singer.

- Milind’s album Milder Milind was nominated for the Global Indian Music Academy Awards (GiMA) awards.
- Another album The Believers was nominated for the 2017 Emmy Award.
- Milind was conferred the prestigious ‘Femina Pune’s Most Powerful Award’ in 2019.
- He was awarded the prestigious ‘Economic Times Gen Next Award’ in 2020.
- Milind has performed for Russian President Hon. Mr. Putin and on another occasion, for former Indian President Hon. Pranab Mukherjee.
