Nayab Midha

Nayab Midha, known as the “Muskurao Girl,” has built a unique space in the world of spoken word poetry with her authentic voice and evocative storytelling. 

Originally on a path to becoming an engineer, Nayab found her true calling in poetry. She left a stable job at Infosys to pursue her passion, a bold move that marked the beginning of her journey as a poet and performer.

Her poetry journey began in her school days, with her first poem written in 9th grade for a creative writing competition. She went on to participate in slam poetry contests during her college years, winning accolades at prominent institutions such as Delhi University, IP University, and more. Her early performances at open mics led to her first viral video on the Canvas Literature Club’s YouTube channel in 2018.

Nayab’s poems like “Tum Khoobsurat Ho,” “Muskurao,” and “Nani Ki Kahani” have touched countless hearts, contributing to her strong following of over a million on Instagram and more than 100,000 subscribers on YouTube.

Her flagship show, ‘The Nayab Show,’ stands as a unique poetry storytelling experience, bringing fresh narratives and authentic emotions to the forefront. Beyond performing, Nayab has worked with brands to weave poetry into campaigns, managed artists, and organized poetry events for platforms like FNP Media. Her talent extends to filmmaking, as seen in her work as an AD for the short film 'Versus of War.'
