Beginning his journey as an assistant director for the play 'Premachi Goshta,' where he collaborated with veteran actors Shriram Lagoo and Nilu Phule, Prasad soon transitioned to acting. His initial breakthrough came with Shree Adhikari Brother's TV serial 'Badini,' where he starred alongside Mrunal Kulkarni. Prasad's portrayal in 'Andharyachya Parambya,' a television series adaptation of the famous movie 'Barrister,' received critical acclaim.

Prasad acted in  popular TV series 'Avaghchi Sansar.' This series, which achieved the nation's highest ratings in 2008, significantly influenced his rise to fame. 

Throughout his illustrious career, Prasad has been a part of over 80 television serials. His role as a judge on the reality show 'Dhinka Chika' in 2008 further highlighted his multifaceted talent and ability to connect with audiences in various formats. 

In June 2012, his show 'Bhanda Saukhya Bhare' reached a milestone, completing 500 episodes, reflecting its popularity and enduring appeal.
