Pritam

An award-winning composer, singer, and musician known for his innovative fusion of Indian classical music with rock and Western styles in Bollywood songs, Pritam is one of the most awarded music directors in Bollywood. He gained widespread fame and recognition through his work on the soundtrack of the 2007 film Dhoom 2. The film's music, composed by Pritam, became immensely popular, with tracks like Crazy Kiya Re and Dhoom Again becoming chart-toppers. 

Pritam has received multiple Filmfare Awards for Best Music Director for the films, Ae Dil Hai Mushkil (2017), Barfi! (2013) and Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani (2010). He also bagged the IIFA Award for Best Music Director for Ae Dil Hai Mushkil (2017).

A sound engineer from  FTII Pune, Pritam started his singing career making jingles for brands like Santro, Emami, McDonald's, Head & Shoulders, Thums Up, Limca, and Complan. In 2001, his luck shined as he bagged his first break for Tere Liye. The success of the Dhoom 2 soundtrack significantly contributed to establishing Pritam as a prominent composer in the Bollywood music industry.

He went on to create chart topping music for films like Life in a Metro, Once Upon a Time in Mumbai,  Jab Harry Met Sejal and many more.

His musical notes broke geographic barriers when his composed song from the movie Dhoom became popular in pubs in the UK, USA and East Asia. 

His song Gerua from the movie Dilwale  became the first Bollywood song to cross 100 million views on YouTube in the shortest duration ever. 

Apart from being a composer, a singer and music director, Pritam has also mentored and judged a few music reality shows. 

Throughout his illustrious career, Pritam's innovative musical arrangements and genre-blending compositions have earned him numerous accolades and a devoted fan base.
