Santhanam Srinivasan Iyer, popularly known as rapper E.P.R. (emcee/poet/rapper), was a former frontman of the band ‘Underground Authority’, an alternative rock and rap rock band. Santhanam established himself as a firebrand multilingual rapper and singer after he participated in reality TV shows such as ‘MTV Hustle’ and ‘India's Got Talent’. His electrifying performances resonated deeply with audiences across India. His verses, tackling pressing issues like farmer suicides, depression, acid attacks, and corruption, served as a powerful catalyst for change, distinguishing him from the conventional rap narratives prevalent at the time.
