About
Shonali was voted as one of India's ‘50 Most Desirable Women’ for the years 2011 and 2012 by the Times of India. Apart from winning multiple titles, she has also made her mark in the industry as an actor and model.
She was crowned ‘Femina Miss India International’ in 2003 and was the 1st runner-up at ‘Miss International 2003’.
She started her hosting career with Popcorn on Zoom TV. She has hosted the IIFA Awards in Dubai for Star Plus in 2007 and the GiMA in Malaysia for Sony TV.
Other TV shows hosted by her include Mr. and Mrs. TV on Sony, Salaam-e-Ishq on Star One, and many more. She has also acted in Bollywood films like ‘Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi’ and ‘Dil Bole Hadippa!’.
She started hosting cricket shows in 2006 with the Champions Trophy. She then hosted the 2007 ‘Cricket World Cup’, ‘Extra Innings’ in 2008, ‘Stumped’ on ESPN in 2009, and ‘T20 World Cup’ on ESPN-Star Sports.
She then began hosting shows for ITV to co-host their coverage of the IPL, making her foray into UK television and has hosted the IPL for four consecutive seasons.
She was also a contestant on the reality TV show ‘Bigg Boss’ in 2011.
