About
Born in a family of accomplished singers and actors, Shraddha Kapoor, made her childhood dreams come true with her debut on the big screen with the heist film ‘Teen Patti’ (2010) followed by her first leading role in the teen drama ‘Luv Ka The End’ (2011). However, her breakthrough came with the role of ‘Arohi’, a singer in the romantic musical ‘Aashiqui 2’ (2013). And since then there has been no looking back!
Shraddha played some nuanced characters in films like ‘Haider’ (2014), ‘Ek Villain’ (2014), the dance drama ‘ABCD 2’ (2015), and the action film ‘Baaghi’ (2016).
Some of her highest-grossing releases came with the comedy horror ‘Stree’ (2018), the action thriller ‘Saaho’ (2019), the comedy-drama ‘Chhichhore’ (2019), and the romantic comedy ‘Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar’ (2023).
Besides her acting skills, Shraddha is a mellifluous singer and has trained as one since her childhood. She has lent her voice to several songs in her movies, some of them include - ‘Galliyan’ from ‘Ek Villain’, and ‘Sab Tera’ from ‘Baaghi’.

Shraddha won the BIG Star Entertainment Awards for the category ‘Best Romantic Couple along with Aditya Roy Kapur in 2013. She won Screen Awards for Jodi No. 1 with Aditya Roy Kapur in 2014. Her singing skills also won her the Global Indian Music Academy Awards for the category Best Celebrity Singer of the Year in 2015 for the movie ‘Ek Villain’.
Shraddha has also been featured in ‘Forbes India’s Celebrity 100’ list since 2014 and was featured by Forbes Asia in their ‘30 Under 30’ list of 2016. She is the second-most followed Indian actor on Instagram with a following of 85.3 million.
