About
Shruti Seth, an actor, and VJ, rose to fame after playing the character of ‘Jiya’ on the hit comedy series ‘Shararat’, on Star Plus.
She made her Bollywood debut in 2003 with ‘Waisa Bhi Hota Hai Part II’, and later acted in popular films like ‘Fanaa’, ‘Slumdog Millionaire’, ‘Rajneeti’, ‘Ta Ra Rum Pum’ and more. She has also starred in Disney Channel's original series ‘The Suite Life of Karan and Kabir’.
She has done many TV commercials for brands like Clean and Clear, TATA Home Finance, Ponds, Frooti, LG, Airtel, and many more.
Her hosting journey began with ‘First day First show’ and ’Junglee Jukebox’ on Channel V. She went on to anchor many TV shows like ‘My Desi Top 20’ on Zoom TV and multiple seasons of ‘Comedy Circus’ on Sony TV. Shruti was a part of the show as a host for two consecutive seasons and was back on popular demand in 2009.
In 2009, she hosted the Indian cookery TV series ‘Mallika-E-Kitchen’. Her anchoring skills on the show were appreciated by one and all.
In 2021, she played a host of ‘Women Like Her’, which showcased inspiring stories of women on Discovery Channel and TLC, followed by a parenting show ‘9 Months’ (Season 6) where celebrity mothers shared their personal experiences during the pandemic.
