Siddharth Mahadevan, a Bollywood playback singer, is best known for his songs in the film Bhaag Milkha Bhaag in which he sang ‘Zinda’ & the rock version of the title track. He got further acclaim for the song ‘Malang’ from Dhoom 3.
He is the son of legendary music composer & singer, Shankar Mahadevan and made his Bollywood debut as a singer in 2005 for the title track of the film ‘Bunty Aur Babli’. Other songs by him include ‘Hulla Re’ from 2 States, ‘Pehli Baar’ from ‘Dil Dhadakne Do’,‘Teen Gawah’ from ‘Mirzya’ & many more.
In 2014, he received the Filmfare ‘R.D Burman Award for New Music Talent’ & the BIG Star Entertainment Award for ‘Most Entertaining male Singer’ for the song ‘Zinda’ (Bhaag Milkha Bhaag).
He got further acclaim for the song ‘Malang’ in ‘Dhoom 3’ and even composed music for the Marathi Film ‘Swapna Tujhe ni Majhe’. He also sang the superhit song ‘Nachde Ne Saare’ from the movie ‘Baar Baar Dekho’.
Along with singing in Hindi, Telugu,Tamil, Malayalam, and Marathi; Siddharth is a film score composer too and his soft-spoken voice belies his power-packed vocals in Bollywood numbers.
