Famous for her role in the Amazon Prime Original ‘Made in Heaven’, Sobhita Dhulipalia went from being an uncool kid in school to being a finalist at the
Femina Miss India 2013 pageant and was crowned ‘Miss India Earth’ at the pageant.
She also featured on the Kingfisher Swimsuit Calendar in 2014, marking her entry into the fashion industry. She then appeared on the covers of magazines like Femina, Mandate, and Hi!Blitz, and has walked the ramp for reputed fashion and jewellery designers.
After many rejections, for not being traditionally good-looking, she finally landed
a role in Anurag Kashyap’s film ‘Raman Raghav 2.0’ for which she was nominated in the ‘Critics Choice Best Performance’ category at Cannes in 2017.
Her career graph has been on the rise ever since her debut film and she has acted
in films such as ‘Kaalakaandi’, the Telegu spy thriller ‘Goodachari’, and the Malayalam Movie ‘Moothon’.
With great work across mediums, she is now looking forward to another feather in her cap with Dev Patel’s directorial debut ‘Monkey Man’.
She also appeared in a pivotal role in ‘Bard of Blood’, an Indian fictional spy thriller on Netflix.
Her commitment to take risks by not shying away from challenges has certainly paid off, something that sets her apart from her contemporaries.
