Sudakshina Bhattacharya is a seasoned Human Resources leader with over 15 years of extensive experience across diverse sectors including Telecom, Hospitality, Technology, Entertainment, and Financial Services. Sudakshina is serving as the President and Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) at HDFC ERGO General Insurance. She is widely recognized for her innovative thinking and unique approaches to situational leadership.
With a post-graduation in Human Resource Management from IISW&BM followed by a Management Development Program from XLRI, Jamshedpur, Sudakshina has continually honed her skills and expertise in the field.
Sudakshina’s journey began at Hutchison Telecom (now Vodafone Essar Pvt Ltd) in 1996, where she laid the foundation of her HR career. She then transitioned to The Indian Hotels Company Pvt Ltd, where she held key roles such as Assistant HR Manager at Taj Bengal, Kolkata, and HR Manager at Taj Lake Palace, Udaipur.
Throughout her career, Sudakshina has demonstrated exceptional leadership capabilities and a keen focus on talent management and development. At Nokia India, where she served as the Regional HR Manager-East, she played a pivotal role in overseeing HR functions for Network & CMO Business Verticals in the East region before moving to Gurgaon for a Pan India role.
Sudakshina’s tenure at ICICI Prudential Life Insurance Co and Religare Enterprises further established her as a strategic HR partner, with significant contributions across different segments and regions. Notably, Sudakshina spearheaded various initiatives, including organization restructuring, rightsizing, succession planning, and expatriate program management.
A certified Co-Active Coach from the Co-Active Institute, UK - Singapore Centre, Sudakshina brings a holistic approach to her HR practice, emphasizing stakeholder management, leadership hiring, and organization diagnostics. She has been instrumental in implementing innovative programs such as 'Greener Pastures,' an internal job rotation program, and 'Relay - the Successor Planning Programme.'
