Sudeep Banerjee is a well-known name in the Sufi circuit and amongst people who love centuries-old Ghazals and Urdu poetry.
Coming from a musical family, Sudeep is actually a ghazal prodigy who started singing at a very young age and was a part of Zee TV's show ‘Ras Barse’ in the early 90s. He has also composed music for two feature films called ‘With Love Tumhara’ and ‘Chauser’.
He has attained an important place among the stalwarts of Ghazal singers and connoisseurs in India and abroad, having performed alongside the likes of Mehdi Hassan, Ghulam All, Anup Jalota, Jagjit Singh, and A. Gulzar. A few of his hits include 'Maze Na Aaye’ and ‘Mere Mehboob’.
With in-depth training in the Dadra, Thum and Ghazal Gaya, Sudeep has the ability to leave the audience mesmerized with his soulful voice. He is the only singer in India to have a back-to-back release every year in ghazals.
