Sumanth and Sonali, the professional salsa duo known as Bad Salsa rose to prominence as the winners of India's Got Talent Season 4 in 2012.
The duo then participated in Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 6 in 2013 and finished at the third place in the competition.
Bad Salsa participated in ITV's Britain's Got Talent: The Champions and the fifteenth season of NBC's America's Got Talent where they emerged as finalists.
With their electrifying moves on the Bollywood number Dhating Naach they received a standing ovation from judges Simon Cowell, Howie Mandel, Heidi Klum and Sofia Vergara at AGT.
Famous for their fast-paced flips, twirls, lifts and a mash-up of salsa moves performed on various Indian songs, the duo showcases some extraordinary dance forms that have never been attempted before.
From India's Got Talent to America's Got Talent, Sumanth and Sonali’s journey has been very awe-inspiring. Coming from a humble background to soaring heights of success through their sheer hard work and passion for their art, the Bad Salsa duo have proved to be world-class dancers. the United States, Europe, South America, Asia, and Canada since 2008.
In 2017, Desi Hoppers participated in the Asian Battleground - a cross-national dance competition held in Malaysia and ended at third place.
