A notable Bollywood music composer duo, Salim-Sulaiman have contributed to popular films like  ‘Neal 'n' Nikki’,  ’Chak De! India’,  ‘Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi’,  ‘Fashion’ and many more. They have also been part of several TV reality shows as celebrity judges including the very popular ‘Indian Idol’. 

Salim-Sulaiman were inspired by their father who led the Ismaili Scouts Orchestra in India; they are the sons of composer & veteran of the film industry, Sadruddin Merchant. Salim mastered the piano at the Trinity College of Music in London while Sulaiman took up tabla training with legends such as Taufiq Qureshi & Ustad Zakir Hussain.

They have also composed music for many Indi-pop singers, TV Commercials & worked on a Bollywood remix for Lady Gaga’s songs ‘Born This Way’ &  ‘Judas’. They also worked on ‘I'm A Freak’  by Enrique. 

They won the prestigious IIFA Award for ‘Best Background Score’ in the film ‘Mujhse Shaadi Karogi’ in 2005, Filmfare Award for ‘Best Background Score’ in the film ‘Krrish’ & many more awards & acclaim. 

The musical duo collaborated with South African singers to record the anthem for the 2010 FIFA World Cup, ‘Africa- You are a Star’.

They also got the honour of performing for royalty in Nairobi in 2012 and also got nominated for a daytime Emmy Award for composing ‘Save The Tiger- Wonder Pets’. 

They got the ‘Best Music Award’ for the film 'Fashion' at New York's Syracuse International Film Festival.

They launched their own label last year called ‘Merchant Records’ and are known as the merchants of music and melody. They hit their high notes together and are creating a legacy that will benefit aspiring musicians for years to come.

The duo have enthralled audiences across the world with their live concerts including performing at the opening ceremony of the FIFA World Cup 2010.Their performances are loved by every true music enthusiast.
