Transitioning from an engineering profession into a full-time artist, Vivek Patil is considered India's only light painter who introduced this unique art form to India. His breakthrough came when he participated in ‘India’s Got Talent’ in 2014, during his college days, where he garnered immense support and success. He shot to fame when he won against the 'Entertainment Ke liye Kuchh Bhi Karega' Contestant in the face off round. His unique talent astonished the judges and guest judges.
Performing in front of distinguished personalities, such as Ratan Tata & Shah Rukh Khan, has been the highlight of his career. Vivek has also performed at high-profile events, including the India launches of the Porsche 911 Cabriolet and the Mercedes GLA Class SUV, where he mesmerized audiences with his light art and sand art.
Vivek has even graced international stages delivering a breathtaking Coloured Sand Art performance for the Premier League, and has enthralled audiences at events for LOT-Polish Airlines and SriLankan Airlines.
Delving into unconventional art forms like speed painting and sand art, Vivek found inspiration from Ukrainian artists Ileana Yahav and Galitsya Tetiana, whose teachings he discovered on online platforms. This ignited his creative spirit, leading him to explore the possibilities of radium light art.
Drawing from his theatre background, Vivek recognized the potential of radium markings for artistic expression. Despite facing challenges such as the unforgiving nature of radium and the complexity of working on large canvases, Vivek's dedication and innovation prevailed.
His artworks span an impressive 32 feet in length and 8 feet in height. With a team of eight members, including his wife as the creative head, Vivek does elaborate performances synchronized with music and voiceovers.
Vivek's unique approach to radium light art, incorporating animation and expanding the color palette, has garnered international acclaim. From ‘India’s Got Talent’ to ‘World’s Got Talent’, he has displayed his talent on prestigious platforms.
