Shukla Bose

Shukla Bose is a visionary leader and social entrepreneur who has dedicated her life to transforming the lives of underprivileged children through education. As the founder and CEO of the Parikrma Humanity Foundation, she has created a nonprofit organization that runs English-medium schools for children from marginalized communities in Bangalore, India. 

Shukla's early career began in education, where she served as a teacher at a convent school in Kolkata before moving on to teach at an army school in Bhutan. Her passion for education was evident from the start, but her career soon took a turn towards the hospitality industry, where she spent 26 years honing her leadership and management skills. 

During this time, she held significant positions, including working with the Oberoi Group and serving as the Managing Director of Resort Condominiums India (RCI). However, despite her success in the corporate world, she felt a growing sense of purpose that led her to reevaluate her life's direction.

In the late 1990s, Shukla began to question the impact she was making in her life. This introspection led her to volunteer with Mother Teresa at the Missionaries of Charity for seven years, an experience that profoundly influenced her perspective on service and social responsibility. 

By 2000, she had accepted a role to run a multinational NGO for children, where she successfully established and led their Indian operations. Her ability to build institutions and inspire change was evident, but her desire to create a more direct and personal impact drove her to found her own NGO.

In 2003, Shukla Bose established the Parikrma Humanity Foundation, with the mission of providing high-quality education to underprivileged children in Bangalore. Under her leadership, Parikrma has grown into a model of excellence in education for the marginalized, offering English-medium instruction and a holistic approach that includes nutrition, healthcare, and family support. 

Shukla's unique blend of corporate acumen and heartfelt dedication to social causes has enabled Parikrma to not only uplift the lives of thousands of children but also challenge the status quo in the Indian education system.
