Smriti Mandhana

Smriti Mandhana is a cricketer who was named the Best Women’s International Cricketer by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) in 2018.
She had the good fortune of being gifted a practice bat by batting legend Rahul Dravid, later using the same to smash a double ton for her state in a one day game. Her 224 came off 150 balls, also making her the first Indian woman to record a double ton in one day cricket.
She plays for the Maharashtra cricket team in domestic cricket.
Mandhana scored the fastest fifty for India in Women’s T20Is of just 24 balls against New Zealand in February 2019.
In 2022, she was named as the vice-captain of India's team for the cricket tournament at the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham, England.

Smriti Mandhana was awarded the Rachael Heyhoe-Flint Award for the ‘Best Female Cricketer’ of the year by the India Cricket Council (ICC) and was named the ‘ODI Player of the Year’ in 2018. She received the honorable “Arjuna Award’ in 2019.
She is the first Indian woman to achieve a double-hundred in a one-day game and the only Indian player to be named in the ‘ICC Women’s Team of the Year’ 2016. She won the ‘International Woman Cricketer of the Year Award’ at ‘CEAT International Cricket Awards’ in 2019.
