A former film actress, author, interior designer, newspaper columnist & film producer, Twinkle Khanna is not just stunning to look at but also a very smart & remarkable woman .

Her first book ‘Mrs. Funnybones’ sold over 100,000 copies making her India's highest-selling female writer of 2015 & won her the ‘Crossword Book Award’ in 2016.

As an actress, she won the Filmfare Award for ‘Best Female Debut’ for her role in the romance film ‘Barsaat’ in 1995 . She has acted opposite the mega stars of Bollywood, such as Ajay Devgan, Saif Ali Khan, Aamir Khan, Salman Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, Govinda & her now husband, Akshay Kumar.

She ventured into interior designing in 2001 & is the co-owner of The White Window, a chain of interior designing stores which operate in Mumbai. .

She is also the co-founder of the production company, Grazing Goat Pictures & has co-produced some popular feature films, including ‘Tees Maar Khan’ (2010), ‘Khiladi 786’ (2012) , ‘Holiday: A Soldier Is Never Off Duty’ (2014) and more.

Her most recent book and first novel, ‘Pyjamas Are Forgiving’ again made her the highest-selling female author in India in the year 2018.

Twinkle also launched Tweak India, a bilingual digital media platform for women.

She crafts satirical stories and funny fables when she is not running a design business or writing articles.

Awards and Accomplishments

She won the award for ‘India Today Woman Writer’ in 2017 for her second book, ‘The Legend Of Lakshmi Prasad’. The book has been at No 2 on Amazon since its release & has received rave reviews, being called ‘sensitive, humourous & eminently readable’ by The Hindustan Times & ‘Sprinkled with fine wit and representation of great cultural commentary’ by The Hindu.

She won the Outlook Award in 2016 for the ‘Most Inspiring Woman’ of the year.

She was listed as the 4th ‘Best Dressed Celebrity’ (2009) in India by People magazine. As of 2017, she is the Indian brand ambassador for L’Oréal.

She won the ‘Women’s Entrepreneurship Day Pioneer Award’ in 2017 and ‘National Film Award’ for Best Film on Social Issues in 2019.
