Gurleen Pannu

The first runner-up in the latest season of Comicstaan, Gurleen Pannu is one of the best new observational comics on the scene. The Chandigarh girl first started making waves thanks to her hilarious lockdown Instagram reels, which led to her participating and quickly becoming the fan-favourite in the third season of Comicstaan. 

Gurleen was a University topper in Microbiology before following her passion for theatre. She was a theatre artist for 3 years leading her interest in anchoring, drama, writing, and finally a stand up comedian.

She got inspired by Zakir Khan’s stand-up comedy and followed her interest by writing, performing, and doing stage shows.

She also won the ‘Best female Comedian’ award during her graduation ceremony.

Gurleen has performed for Pacific Poetry, a community for promoting and producing spoken word poetry through live performances and online content.

In 2022, she also toured India and did her first international show in Dubai.

In 2021, she was also a part of the show Chalo Koi Baat Nahi, a sketch comedy show that gives a satirical twist to a streak of issues and challenges faced by the common people, on an everyday basis. 

In 2022, Gurleen participated in Comicstaan Season 3 where she finished as a runner up and her performance was highly praised. 

Gurleen's comedic style is refreshing and she makes even the most mundane events amusing by just presenting them and making you visualize them. With her observations, anecdotes and gup-shup of a typical Indian household, she is a crazy new-age stand-up comedian to watch out for.
