Gursimran Khamba

Gursimran Khamba is a pioneering figure in Indian comedy, both literally and figuratively. Standing tall as one of the smartest and most influential comedians in the country, Gursimran co-founded the groundbreaking comedy collective, All India Bakchod (AIB). His journey in comedy began in 2009, and since then, he has become synonymous with edgy, dark, and surreal humor that often tackles political and social issues. Gursimran's bold approach to comedy has made him a pioneer in the Indian stand-up scene, particularly in the realm of political satire.

As part of AIB, Gursimran  has been instrumental in pushing the boundaries of comedy in India. He was a key player in some of AIB's most ambitious projects, including India’s first-ever comedy roast, ‘AIB Knockout’, the full-day open-air comedy show ‘AIB Diwas’, and the satirical news show On Air with AIB, which aired on primetime television and Hotstar. 

He also contributed to ‘AIB Presents Royal Turds’, a spoof award show that took aim at Bollywood. Through these initiatives, Gursimran helped AIB become a household name, known for its fearless and often controversial content.

Gursimran is also an accomplished writer, having penned articles for a wide range of respected publications, including GQ India, India Today, Firstpost, DNA, HT Brunch, and more. His writing is known for its sharp wit and incisive commentary on current affairs and the social climate in India. 

In addition to his work with AIB, Gursimran has also made significant contributions to Indian television. His credits include ‘The Indian Television Awards’, ‘Jay Hind!’, and ‘MTV Rock The Vote’. 

Gursimran Khamba is also the founder of Light@27, a comedy consulting firm that offers a range of services in the live and digital content space. The firm focuses on developing feature films and shows for OTT platforms and production houses, providing script consulting and content strategy services, and offering comedian-for-hire services for live events.
