About
Antara came to the limelight when she became a contestant in the popular singing reality show ‘Indian Idol 2’ in 2006. Coming from a small village in West Bengal she always exhibited a keen interest in music early and was inspired by her father who was a music teacher.
She is the melodious voice behind many hit Bollywood songs and also makes independent music and performs live shows across the globe.
She rose to fame for her soulful duets ‘Gerua’ & ‘Janam Janam’ with Arijit Singh, & also the peppy ‘Manma Emotion Jaage’ from Dilwale.
She is a multilingual singer, & has recorded songs in many Indian regional languages too.
She is considered as one of the most talented artists in the country and can sing any type of song as her style ranges from soulful to peppy tunes.
