About
Kamal Khan, a Bollywood playback singer, came to light after winning the reality singing competition, ‘Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Singing Superstar’ in 2010.
He started learning music at the age of five, from his uncle Shauqat Ali Dewana, who became his mentor. He later left his studies and started taking part in singing competitions and musical shows.
In 2012, he won the ‘Zee Cine Awards Fresh Singing Talent’, for the song ’Ishq Sufiyana’ from the film ’The Dirty Picture’.
Other songs by him include ‘Wallah Re Wallah’ from ‘Tees Maar Khan’, ‘Jhoot Boliya’ from ‘Jolly LLB’, Naina from ‘Gori Tere Pyar Mein’ and many more.
In 2012, he won the Screen Awards Screen Award for Best Male Playback ‘Ishq Sufiyana’ and the Mirchi Music Awards for ‘Male Vocalist of The Year’.
He is a renowned singer and has also established himself as a sought after singer in the Punjabi film industry. His stage shows are widely popular and are always housefull.
