About
Dilin Nair, popularly known as Raftaar is a renowned Singer and Rapper. A former member of the Urban Music Group Mafia Mundeer, formed by Yo Yo Honey Singh, he is a major name in the music fraternity of Bollywood as well as amongst the Indian independent artists.
He began his profession as a dancer and later, started rapping in 2008 with Lil Golu and Young Amli, making songs and sharing them on social media. As a member of the Mafia Mundeer gang, he began collaborating with Yo Yo Honey Singh soon too.
His popular Bollywood tracks include ‘Aisi Dhakad Hai’ from ‘Dangal’, ‘Tamanche Pe Disco’ from ‘Bullet Raja’, ‘Whistle Baja’ from ‘Heropanti’ along with many others.
He was very soon absorbed in the Indian Bollywood music fraternity after he released his debut mixtape – ‘WTF (Witness the Future)’ in 2013. His signature line ‘ab ye karke dikhao’ from Manj Musik’s single ‘Swag Mera Desi’ was widely applauded by the audience.
He won the ‘Best Urban Single award’ for ‘Swag Mera Desi’ at the Brit Asia TV Music Awards In 2019, he began judging TV programs such as ‘MTV Hustle’, ‘Dance India Dance’, and ‘Roadies’. He is also the co-founder of the Kalamkaar Desi Hip Hop label.
His journey has inspired many underground rappers to follow their dreams and with his instantly recognisable vocals and upbeat, he is the perfect performer for a multitude of events.
